4 Healthy Foods That Calm & De-Stress

1. Bananas - tryptophan rich. Have one before bed with a little oil - nuts and seeds are ideal. The tryptophan is a precursor to seratonin, which is converted to melatonin. Melatonin is a sleep regulator.

2. Chamomile tea. What can be better than a bit of a hug in a cup.

3. Avocado - rich in copper and omega 3. A lack of both these substances can exacerbate low mood.

4. Oily fish like salmon and tuna are rich in omega 3 oils that have been shown to aid depression.
